On April 26, 2025, tragedy struck in Kansas City, Missouri, when 16-year-old Maximiliano Ruiz was found shot to death inside a vehicle near 12th and Belmont avenues. The young male victim, along with 19-year-old Matthew Suri, was discovered by authorities responding to reports of gunfire in the area.
