In the early morning hours of New Year's Day 2025, a gathering in Kansas City, Missouri, turned tragic, leaving one man dead and another injured. Calvin Bushnell, a 40-year-old Black man, was fatally shot at a residence on Elmwood Avenue near 31st Street.
