In the early morning hours of June 22, 2025, a violent outbreak occurred in the historic 18th and Vine Jazz District of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of Ty’rick D. Henry, a 26-year-old male. The shooting took place shortly after 2:00 a.m., following the conclusion of the local Juneteenth Heritage Festival, a celebration that had filled the area with attendees earlier that evening.
