Death by Force

Aaron Williams, 18, male, was found mortally wounded on the morning of Sunday, July 20, 2025, after gunfire rang out near the 1300 block of East 89th Street in south Kansas City, Missouri. Officers responding just before 6 a.m. were directed to an apartment where the 18-year-old had gone after being shot; he was rushed to a hospital and died a short time later. Investigators said the shooting likely happened outside, near the roadway by an apartment complex east of Troost Avenue.
