In the final hours of 2014, the life of 21-year-old Tevin D. Thrower came to a tragic end in Kansas City, Missouri. On December 31st, he was discovered shot to death outside an apartment building located in the 1300 block of East 82nd Terrace, marking the city's last homicide of the year. The initial investigation into his death quickly grew cold, leaving his family with unanswered questions and a profound sense of loss.

Tevin was known as a diligent and hardworking young man, juggling two jobs to support himself. He spent his days at Science City at Union Station and worked nights stocking shelves at a local Wal-Mart. By all accounts, he was not involved in any illicit activities that would point to a motive for his murder, which only deepened the mystery surrounding his untimely death. This lack of a clear reason for the violence left investigators perplexed and without immediate leads.

In the months that followed, detectives with the Kansas City Police Department expressed their frustration with the case. A significant challenge was the stark absence of witnesses willing or able to provide information. The usual street chatter that often helps investigators piece together events was unusually silent in Tevin's case. This scarcity of clues and the general lack of information from the community created a difficult path for law enforcement seeking to bring his killer to justice.

Despite the passage of time, the case of Tevin D. Thrower's murder remains unsolved, with no suspects publicly identified or arrested. The initial plea for anyone with information to come forward has yet to yield the breakthrough needed to close the case. His family continues to wait for answers and for justice to be served for a young life cut short by senseless violence.
