In the early morning hours of January 14, 2025, Kansas City police officers were conducting a routine patrol near the intersection of East 30th Street and Indiana Avenue when they observed a peculiar sight. A vehicle was stopped in the roadway, positioned facing oncoming traffic in the wrong direction. Upon approaching the car to investigate the situation and check on the well-being of any occupants, the officers discovered an unresponsive man inside who had sustained apparent gunshot trauma.
