Kansas City police are investigating the fatal shooting of Larry Curtis, a 57-year-old Black man, who was found dead inside his vehicle in the early hours of January 14, 2025. Officers on routine patrol in the area of East 30th Street and Indiana Avenue noticed a car stopped in the road, facing oncoming traffic. Upon closer inspection, they discovered Curtis unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
