On December 8, 2016, Freddie Jones, aged 52, was fatally shot in a double homicide in Kansas City, Missouri. Police discovered the bodies of Freddie Jones and Jonathan Echols inside a residence near 39th and Chestnut. Both men had been shot multiple times. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, and after an investigation, two Kansas City teenagers, aged 17 and 18, were charged in connection with the killings.
