Derrick D. Rhodes, a 32-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on March 31, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. Rhodes, who was well known for his charismatic and infectious smile, was a dedicated worker and a passionate individual with a love for basketball and automobiles. He had been employed by the City of Kansas City Water Department for five years and also worked for Martin Trucking and Total Wine. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and community in mourning.
