In the late hours of May 21, 2015, the life of 24-year-old Kendra Marnita Rankin was tragically cut short in St. Louis, Missouri. A Black female, Kendra was discovered inside a vehicle, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. The devastating scene was further compounded by the presence of two young boys, both under the age of five, who were also inside the car at the time of the shooting.
