Deosha Purnell, a 15-year-old girl from St. Louis, Missouri, tragically lost her life on September 14, 2020. She was shot in the shoulder while in a car near Riverview and Spring Garden in north St. Louis. Despite being rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, she succumbed to her injuries. Deosha's death marked the 194th homicide in St. Louis for the year 2020, equaling the total number of homicides in the city for the entire year of 2019.
