On the night of October 18, 2014, police in St. Louis, Missouri, were dispatched to the 5600 block of Lillian Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arriving near the intersection of Lillian and Plover avenues around 11:45 p.m., officers discovered Margaree Dixson, a 35-year-old African-American female, lying in the street.
