Brenda Jean Pruitt, 27, was a Black woman from St. Louis, Missouri, whose life slipped out of view in early May 1990. The last time those close to her knew for sure where she was dated back to May 4, and when the days stretched on without a word, her family reported her missing on May 9, 1990.
