In the spring of 2016, the life of 32-year-old Gina L. Smith was tragically cut short in a violent encounter that continues to baffle investigators. On the morning of April 15th, a neighbor's call to 911 summoned St. Louis police to an apartment on Hadley Street, where a grim discovery awaited. Inside, officers found Gina and a male companion, 35-year-old Shawn Quinn, deceased from gunshot wounds.
