In the late summer of 2015, a violent incident unfolded in Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of a young Black man named Christopher D. Johnson. On September 16, 2015, police officers were dispatched to the intersection of 73rd Street and Lydia Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival at the scene, authorities discovered 21-year-old Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound.
