In the early morning hours of a Sunday in late October 2016, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Kansas City neighborhood. When police responded to the 5700 block of Michigan Avenue shortly before 2 a.m., they discovered a man lying wounded. The victim was identified as 41-year-old Charles Bradford of Kansas City.
