On the evening of June 22, 2025, police officers in Kansas City, Missouri, were dispatched to the Sheffield neighborhood following reports of a disturbance. Just after 8:30 p.m., responding units arrived at the 5400 block of Winner Road, where security guards from a nearby apartment complex flagged them down.
