In the first minutes after midnight on June 15, 2025, 18-year-old Deron McHenry, a male from Kansas City, Missouri, was found gravely wounded alongside 18-year-old Arron L. Hall Jr. in a vehicle stopped near East 69th Street and College Avenue. Patrol officers had rushed to the intersection after reports of gunfire; one victim died at the scene while the other was taken to a hospital, where he died shortly after.
