Patrick Ivory, a 27-year-old African American entrepreneur and online influencer known as "HellKatMarley," was tragically shot and killed on September 21, 2021, while driving on the Westpark Tollway in Houston, Texas. Ivory was heading eastbound in his gray Chrysler 300 when the driver of a dark-colored car pulled up next to him and started shooting. The incident occurred just before 7:30 p.m., and Ivory's vehicle crashed into a ditch near the Fondren exit.
Despite initial hopes that he would survive, Ivory was pronounced dead at the hospital later that night.
The Houston Police Department responded to the scene and found several shell casings on the road, indicating multiple shots were fired. Investigators believe the shooting was not random and are exploring the possibility that Ivory was targeted. The suspect's vehicle was described as a black or blue 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS 4-door. The shooter fled the scene, and the case remains under active investigation.
In the aftermath of Ivory's death, his family has been vocal in seeking justice and has asked for the public's help in finding his killer. Crime Stoppers of Houston has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest or charges in the case. The family has also expressed their grief and disbelief, noting that Ivory was a family man and a proud father to his 5-year-old son, Noah. They emphasized that Ivory was not involved in any gang activity and was well-loved by those who knew him.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation continues. The HPD and Crime Stoppers are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrator to justice. The case remains open, and the search for answers continues.
