In the quiet, rural landscape of Hardeman County, Tennessee, a grim discovery was made on November 23, 2015. A motorist traveling along the 3000 block of Somerville Road in Hickory Valley spotted a figure lying in a nearby field and promptly called 911. Responding authorities found the body of a man who had been fatally shot. The victim was later identified as Guy Williamson, a 45-year-old male from Somerville.
For six years, the case of Guy Williamson's death remained an active and open
investigation, a joint effort between the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Hardeman County Sheriff's Office, and the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
