In the early morning hours of February 3, 2018, 19-year-old Devonte Taylor and his friend, 19-year-old Jereme Jones, were shot and killed in a deadly robbery. Later that morning, around 9:45 a.m., their bodies were discovered inside a car at Fletcher Creek Park in Cordova, a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee. Both young men had sustained multiple gunshot wounds from two different caliber weapons.
