In the late hours of a Wednesday night in the Orange Mound neighborhood of Memphis, a dispute escalated into a fatal encounter that claimed the life of 56-year-old Bobby Woods. On that September evening in 2016, Woods was on Pendleton near Deadrick when an argument broke out. The disagreement took a tragic turn when he was shot.
Responding to a call at approximately 10 p.m., Memphis police discovered Woods at the scene with a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead right there on the street. The investigation into the city's 169th homicide of the year quickly pointed to a suspect.
Authorities identified 19-year-old Terrion Flowers as the individual who allegedly shot Woods during the argument. Following the investigation, Flowers was apprehended by the Memphis Police Department. He was subsequently charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Bobby Woods.
