Christopher Nettles, a 36-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee, tragically died on May 16, 2021. He was shot and killed at Scootie's One Stop, a convenience store near the University of Memphis. According to police reports, Nettles was attempting to leave the store with approximately $100 worth of merchandise when the store owner's son locked the door, preventing his escape.
