Roderick Ellis, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 2, 2020, in Memphis, Tennessee. Ellis was the victim of a robbery that occurred at a motel in West Memphis, Arkansas. After being robbed, Ellis pursued the suspect across the Mississippi River into Tennessee while calling 911. Unfortunately, he was found shot to death near the intersection of Riverside and Metal Museum Drive in downtown Memphis.
