Martavious Dayquion Roper, a 20-year-old African American male from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on January 7, 2018. He was fatally shot in the 400 block of Castleview Drive in Murfreesboro. Police responded to the scene around 11:35 p.m. and found Martavious with life-threatening injuries. He was immediately transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
