On a bright Labor Day morning in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the life of 18-year-old Keldrick Maurice Moore, a recent graduate of Stewarts Creek High School with aspirations of joining the Air Force, was tragically cut short. The young Black man was fatally shot on September 2, 2019, in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Laura Jeanne Boulevard. Another 17-year-old male was also wounded in the incident but survived after being treated and released from the hospital.
