In the early morning hours of March 26, 2020, a fatal encounter unfolded in an alley behind a Citgo gas station on Dickerson Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. Bradderick Seaborn, a 26-year-old African American male, was found shot to death around 1:20 a.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Seaborn was pronounced dead from his injuries.
The investigation into the shooting was handled by the Metro Nashville Police Department's East Precinct detectives.
According to their findings, Seaborn and another man, described as a Black male, had a discussion that escalated into a violent altercation. During this dispute, shots were fired, leading to Seaborn's death. The investigation revealed that the two men were strangers to each other prior to this deadly meeting.
Following the incident, detectives began working to identify the man seen with Seaborn. Through their investigation, which included reviewing surveillance footage and gathering witness statements, they identified 19-year-old Tamon Collins as the suspect. Collins was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal homicide in connection with Bradderick Seaborn's death. He was booked into jail with his bond set at $250,000. The case then proceeded through the legal system to seek justice for the killing.
