On the evening of March 31, 2020, Kordell Keshawn Bass, a 22-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in a tragic incident of gun violence in midtown Jackson, Tennessee. Born on October 13, 1997, Kordell was known for his love of sports, particularly football, and music. He was a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Pittsburgh Steelers and had graduated from South Side High School in 2016.
