In the early morning hours of April 9, 2022, the life of 19-year-old Charles Tyus Jr. was tragically cut short in Jackson, Tennessee. A Black/African American male, Tyus was discovered in his vehicle near the intersection of East Deadrick Street and North Hayes Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. The Jackson Police Department was called to the scene around 4:35 a.m. following reports of shots being fired in the area.
