On the evening of March 31, 2020, in Jackson, Tennessee, 21-year-old Kortez Kentrell Waller, a Black male, was fatally shot in a double homicide that also claimed the life of 22-year-old Kordell Bass. The shooting occurred on Breezewood Cove near Old Hickory Boulevard.

Officers from the Jackson Police Department were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:55 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered both Waller and Bass suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency M ...
