In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of Anthone Lavarral Anglin, a 40-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On January 24, 2021, Anglin was visiting a friend at an apartment building located at 820 17th Avenue North. At approximately 3:30 a.m., he departed from the apartment and headed to the parking lot.
Shortly after Anglin left his friend's residence, authorities received reports of a man having been shot in the apartment complex's parking area.
Upon their arrival, police officers discovered Anglin critically wounded inside his SUV, where he was sitting in the driver's seat. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, and he was promptly transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Anglin succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Homicide detectives from the Metro Nashville Police Department were called in to lead the investigation into the fatal shooting.
