Shai Roxanne Caldwell, a 19-year-old from Hyattsville, MD, tragically lost her life on June 2, 2009. Shai was attending a graduation celebration in Landover, MD, when she was fatally shot. The incident occurred late at night, and police were called to the scene in response to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Shai, who had been shot in the back, succumbed to her injuries a few hours later. The other three victims survived the attack.
