Danny Smith, a 65-year-old man from Knoxville, Tennessee, tragically passed away on August 20, 2021, after being shot on Hilton Road. According to the Knoxville Police Department, Smith was shot after 8 p.m. on Friday night and later died at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The investigation revealed that Smith and the suspect knew each other and were both employed by YRC Freight. The dispute between them turned violent, leading to the shooting.
