On March 24, 2025, 16-year-old Ayden Amere Russo, an African American male, was found fatally shot in the backyard of a residence on Louise Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. Responding to a call around 12:15 a.m., Knoxville Police Department officers discovered Ayden with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Multiple shell casings were recovered from the area, indicating a violent encounter.
