In the early morning hours of July 30, 2017, a dispute in East Knoxville, Tennessee, tragically cut short the life of 23-year-old Curtis Deyquan King. The young man was found deceased at the corner of Fern Street and Lilac Avenue, having sustained at least one fatal gunshot wound. The Knoxville Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide, seeking to piece together the events that led to the shooting.
