On May 18, 2024, Claude "Sampson" E. Johnson Jr., aged 55, was fatally shot at Anderson Automotive and Towing on Cooper Street in Knoxville, Tennessee. Surveillance footage revealed that the assailant, identified as 28-year-old Robert Scruggs, entered the establishment wearing a distinctive face mask and dark-colored hooded jacket.
