On a summer night in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the life of Maurice Nelson, a male resident, was violently cut short. On August 13, 2005, events unfolded within his Smithfield Avenue apartment that would leave a lasting mark on the community. Masked intruders forced their way into the residence, setting in motion a tragic sequence of events that ended in Nelson's death.
