On a January afternoon in 2022, the life of 21-year-old Jamarcus Holliday was tragically cut short in Jackson, Tennessee. The young Black male was caught in an altercation on Pueblo Cove that escalated to gunfire. Friends who witnessed the harrowing event rushed him to a local hospital in a private vehicle, desperate to save him. Despite their efforts and the work of medical staff at Jackson General Hospital, Holliday succumbed to his gunshot wound on January 18, 2022.
