In the early morning hours of April 25, 2020, tragedy struck in Jackson, Tennessee, ending the life of 19-year-old Kontravis Bond. The young man was shot outside of his home on Robin Lane. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and Bond was quickly transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The Jackson Police Department immediately launched an investigation into the shooting. As detectives pieced together the events of that fateful morning, their findings began to suggest that the incident was not a malicious act but rather a tragic accident. The investigation led to a juvenile being identified as the individual responsible for the fatal shot.
