Shomari Ankmoa Peterson Jr., a 17-year-old African American male from Jackson, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on July 27, 2014. Peterson was fatally shot outside Parkway East Apartments on Carver Avenue in Jackson. The incident occurred around 5:07 p.m. when police were called to the scene.
