In the late summer of 2022, the life of 20-year-old Cameron Lee Pirtle, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Jackson, Tennessee. On the afternoon of August 31, 2022, Pirtle was brought to the emergency room of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
