On a cold winter evening in Jackson, Tennessee, the life of 24-year-old D’Andre Holmes, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On January 5, 2019, Holmes was fatally shot outside the Magnolia Landing Court Apartments. The incident, captured on surveillance footage, depicted a maroon Crown Victoria driving by Holmes. A passenger then exited the vehicle and shot him multiple times as he lay on the ground before the car sped away from the scene.
