In the autumn of 2019, a series of violent events shattered the peace of Jackson, Tennessee, culminating in the tragic death of Thomas Louis Curry, Jr. A 30-year-old man, Curry's life was cut short on October 4, 2019, a casualty of gun violence that also left another man seriously injured. The shooting occurred on Fairway Boulevard, and in the immediate aftermath, law enforcement identified and apprehended a suspect, Keenan Murphy, who was found fleeing the scene.
