On the evening of March 22, 2023, at approximately 8:55 p.m., the Jackson Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 100 block of West Deaderick Street in Jackson, Tennessee. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old Nicholas Perry deceased from a gunshot wound. A second individual was found with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
