On the evening of March 22, 2023, the life of 33-year-old Nicholas Jerome Perry, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Jackson, Tennessee. The events of that night unfolded when Jackson Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 100 block of West Deaderick Street at approximately 8:55 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Perry deceased from a gunshot wound.
