Derico Franklin, a 24-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on April 29, 2022, in Memphis, Tennessee. Franklin was a passenger in a car that was shot at while pulling away from a gas pump at a Shell Gas Station on Rangeline Road at James Road. Witnesses reported that Brittany Hill, the shooter, fired at least six shots at the vehicle. Franklin was struck in the head and succumbed to his injuries.
