In the winter of 2025, the life of Jeffrey Jerome Washington, a 46-year-old African American man, was tragically cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. On January 13th, he was fatally shot at a residence located in the 4200 block of Cottonwood. The incident prompted an immediate investigation by local law enforcement.
The day following the shooting, authorities issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the case. The U.S.
Marshals Service took on the task of locating and apprehending the individual. Their fugitive investigation led them to a residence in the 3300 block of McCorkle Road in Memphis.
On March 17, 2025, investigators with the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force successfully located and arrested 45-year-old Anntenika Brown. She was taken into custody and subsequently charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Jeffrey Jerome Washington. Following her arrest, Brown was transported to the Shelby County Detention Center.
