Hilvar Lopez, a 26-year-old male from Memphis, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on August 16, 2015. The incident occurred outside an apartment in the 1700 block of Morlye Street. Lopez was shot in the head by 19-year-old Jamaal Austin during a hold-up at the Prescott Place Apartments. The motive behind the shooting was robbery, as Austin and his co-defendant, Dalvin Smith, attempted to rob Lopez and another individual as they were returning home.
