On the evening of December 31, 2023, a shooting incident in the 3300 block of River Valley Lane in Memphis, Tennessee, claimed the life of 25-year-old Deonte Fletcher. The Black/African American male sustained several gunshot injuries and was privately transported to St. Francis Hospital before being airlifted to Regional One Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds.
