In the early morning hours of May 12, 2022, the life of Antonio DeWayne Grisham, a 40-year-old African American man from Nashville, Tennessee, was tragically cut short in a brutal act of violence. Firefighters responding to a blaze at his residence in the 800 block of West Sharpe Avenue in East Nashville made a grim discovery. Inside the burning home, they found Mr. Grisham, not a victim of the fire, but of a fatal gunshot wound.
