In the pre-dawn hours of a Minneapolis morning, a violent encounter left a young man dead and another fighting for his life. On October 25, 2013, at approximately 1:42 a.m., 24-year-old Abdiaziz Yusuf Jama was a passenger in a vehicle near the intersection of 15th Street and Chicago Avenue. It was at this location that the tranquility of the early morning was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Both Jama and the 23-year-old driver of the vehicle were struck by bullets.
