Alex Manuel Castro Funes, a 34-year-old resident of St. Paul, Minnesota, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident in south Minneapolis on July 21, 2023. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, just before 5:30 a.m., in the Whittier neighborhood near Nicollet Avenue and Cecil Newman Lane.
